Delegations

Arrange a presentation for a delegation

Interstate and international delegations are welcome to visit us to talk about planning in Australia’s national capital.

Presentations

Individuals or groups can ask us to make a presentation on topics and projects in which the ACT Planning and Land Authority has direct involvement.

Requests will be assessed on whether delegations:

  • have representatives from the director or senior planner level.
  • are from an organisation that has a planning focus and statutory governance function comparable to that of the Authority; and
  • have requested presentations that are able to directly contribute to the development or improvement of planning knowledge in their state or country.

Make an application

Contact your relevant embassy and make a request at least six weeks before the intended date of the presentations.

Read the ACT Planning and Land Authority's 'international delegation policy' , complete the delegation form and lodge it with us.

Gifts

It is often customary for international delegations to provide the host organisation a representative gift symbolising an aspect of their culture. It is considered respectful for the host organisation to reciprocate with an appropriate gift. Any gifts will be considered the property of the ACT Government, not of individual staff.
