Employment benefits

Staff of the Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate enjoy generous remuneration and conditions of employment provisions. Most of these are detailed in the Directorates Enterprise Agreement pdf (1.8 MB).

Leave

Leave provisions are:

  • annual leave (total credit of 20 days annually);
  • annual leave bonus;
  • personal/carer’s leave (total credit of 18 days annually);
  • other paid leave (may be granted for purposes considered reasonable);
  • purchased annual leave (option of purchasing up to an additional 6 weeks per year subject to eligibility criteria);
  • long service leave (pro rata accessible after 7 years’ service); and
  • maternity leave (up to a maximum of 54 weeks leave of which 14 weeks are paid - subject to eligibility criteria).
