Electrical start of work forms now online
Electricians can now lodge a combined Start of Work notice and Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES) for new residential installations online.
The new form includes the relevant fees to be paid for new residential work and Alternative Energy Supply installations (PV's). All New, Temporary Supply and Permanent/Temporary Supply CES must be lodged using this form if lodging online as they will not be an option on the older version of the CES form.
The older version of the CES form is still to be used for additions and alterations. Electricians that lodge this way will no longer be required to lodge two separate paper forms. Start of Work notices and Certificates of Electrical Safety for Commercial installations will still need to be lodged under the current arrangements.
