  • 18 Aug 2014 - Asbestos removal program - new search process
    Former and current tenants and home owners can now find out if a property they resided in contained loose-fill asbestos and was part of an asbestos removal program. Property owners are also able to find out if their property was part of the program. More
  • 01 Aug 2014 - DA Finder App
    The ACT Government’s new DA finder app is a new way of informing the community about development applications happening in the Territory. The app is free of charge and is available on iOS and the Google Play Store.

  • 01 Jul 2014 - EPD fees and charges booklet

    EPD increases its fees and charges annually from 1 July. The new fees and charges booklet for this financial year is now available. The 2013-2014 rates apply only to payments received by close of business on 30 June 2014 for development applications that have passed completeness check prior to 30 June 2014. If you are unsure about the rate for a fee or charge please contact the Customer Service Centre on (02) 6207 1923 or email epdcustomerservices@act.gov.au to obtain advice.

  • 01 Jul 2014 - Valuation Services for the assessment of Lease Variation Charge (LVC)

    On 30 June 2014, the Australian Valuation Office closed. Subject to government approval, the Territory is now in the process of establishing an ACT Valuation Office (ACTVO). In the meantime, valuation services will be provided in-house by the Commerce and Works Directorate (CWD). This service will commence on 14 July and all positions will be filled by week ending 18 July 2014. The Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate is working closely with CWD to ensure a smooth transition to the new service for LVC valuation assessments.

  • 17 Jun 2014 - Pay parking starts 1 July at Hyatt and Kingston

    The ACT Government is introducing pay parking at a number of Territory car parks from Tuesday 1 July 2014. This will help to manage the flow-on impacts of the introduction of pay parking on National Land for existing businesses and cultural facilities near the Parliamentary Triangle.

  • 21 Jul 2014 - Territory Plan draft variations 297 and 319

    DV297 is an omnibus variation including planning changes recommended for areas of high ecological value. DV319 proposes zoning changes at Kinlyside, Taylor, Horse Park north, Jacka and Throsby – resulting from the Gungahlin Strategic Assessment Biodiversity Plan. DV297 and DV319 are available on the draft variations page. Consultation closes 29 August 2014.

    The ACT Government is developing a freight strategy to guide how freight moves into, around and out of the ACT. A discussion paper outlining some of the issues and proposing some strategies is available for community and industry comment.

  • 25 Jun 2014 - Low Emission Vehicle Strategy - Discussion Paper 2014

    The ACT Government would like your thoughts on the Low Emission Vehicle Strategy discussion paper, which provides ideas on how to reduce vehicle emissions in the ACT. Provide comments on the discussion paper at the ACT Government’s Time to Talk website until 19 August 2014.
