Policies for naming ACT public places
The ACT Planning and Land Authority is responsible for the naming of public places in the ACT (nomenclature). Public places include districts, divisions (suburbs), streets, parks and geographical features.
Policies
Policies have been prepared on:
- the use of estate names;
- naming of geographical features;
- re-naming existing names;
- non-duplication of names; and
- naming and re-naming shopping centres.
