Pialligo master plan
The ACT Government is working with the Pialligo community to develop a master plan for Pialligo.
The Pialligo Master Plan is currently being drafted and approved through government. It is planned to be released for public consultation in May 2012. Additional planning studies on land use and infrastructure are also being completed.

The Pialligo area
Current land uses in the area include nurseries, cafes, art and craft shops/galleries, landscaping supplies, orchards, a winery, horse agistment, animal boarding, and some residential uses.
Why does Pialligo need a master plan?
A master plan outlines a development vision and planning framework for the next 30 years. It also sets out how to get to that vision in collaboration with the community and commercial interests. Once the master plan is approved, ESDD will amend the Territory Plan and associated codes to guide future development in Pialligo. Pialligo is unique and consultation so far has indicated that it is important to keep the values of Pialligo for the Canberra community.
Consultation
The first stage of consultation has been completed including a 6 week public consultation period in January and February 2011.
